Project Description

A timber company owning hundreds of thousands of acres wanted to explore opportunities to create impact investment strategy for their investors. More specifically, what opportunities existed to monetize their sensitive lands where conservation sales (easements and fee) could be used to keep working forests intact. The firm was also interested in determining whether carbon sequestration activities and wetland and water quality markets could be used to enhance environmental as well as economic returns.
We are leading the company through a comprehensive feasibility analysis to identify alternative revenue streams that could enhance the economic, environmental and social attributes of company lands and their balance sheet. Our next step will be to work with conservation and local communities to make it happen.
