Project Description

A timberland investment management organization (TIMO) wished to sell 16,000 acres of high quality working forest that had both high conservation and development values. Because of its fiduciary responsibilities to its investors, the TIMO needed to complete the sale at market value while also seeking to maintain its working forest characteristics.
US Forest Capital helped the TIMO successfully develop a disposition strategy that enabled it to sell the property at a competitive price and in a manner that also protected its unique environmental attributes. Today a national conservation group owns and manages the property for a wide range of conservation and community values.
