Acquisition of a Sensitive Working Redwood Forest – Northern California
The Redwood Forest Foundation, a non-profit organization comprised of industry, environmental and local business leaders was interested in acquiring working forestland that could be owned and operated for long-term sustainable timber production – but in a manner that also would restore the forest’s biological diversity and enhance anadromous fish populations.
US Forest Capital was engaged as the Foundation's transaction manager, and we helped the group acquire a 50,000-acre block of land stocked with high quality redwood near Fort Bragg, California.
